Boasting an IQ of 190 (and MENSA membership), Scout has been beyond precocious since she was a child. She skipped kindergarten and occasionally jokes that this is why she's bad at “playing with other children.” Wise beyond her years, she's a good source of advice even when she's full of herself (which she often is). Like other former gods, she suffers that restless feeling of being an immortal trapped in a mortal body, adding in that she's a genius with constraints due to her age, she finds the situation quite frustrating at times. Adults who talk down to her often become the target of particularly clever pranks. Scout also tends to “meddle in the affairs” of mortals more than any of her other former Greek siblings. Snarky and sarcastic, Scout makes it obvious when she dislikes someone but is fiercely loyal to her friends. Her war goddess tendencies often come through, she participates in archery with Pheobe Karras, loves paintball and is an avid wargamer. Among other quirks, she uses “Athena” as her gaming callsign and goes vengeful on any girl who dares to use her name. She loves most aspects of geek culture from TV shows to comic books and has a certain fondness for Wil Wheaton and MythBusters. She is embarrassingly afraid of spiders, and as a former virgin goddess boys have yet to hit her radar. top Appearance Small for size, Scout currently stands at a not very imposing 5' 2”. Blond, she's sometimes worn her hair short, sometimes long and has maintained the gray eyes so popularly featured in ballads. With a youthful face, most people don't take her seriously but her eyes have a certain calculating intelligence and steely determination when she needs them to be. She's terribly cute, often to her own dismay. Her own style of dress runs from preppy to punk and geek inspired depending on her mood. She has a little hint of vanity that keeps her from looking sloppy, she just doesn't go for the mainstream. Scout was born as the second daughter of Patrick and Bethany Collins, a Professor of Literature and a children;s book author. Her unusual name is a tribute to the main character of Harper Lee's, “To Kill a Mockingbird.” At an early age, her parents figured out she was a little different from her sister and in kindergarten she was declared a genius. Scout was soon skipped into first grade and her parents refused to skip her higher due to social development and Scout was not so thrilled by this limitation. By the age of ten, she had tested into MENSA and her parents frequently didn't always know what to do with her. When she first read the Odyssey at age nine, she realized her connection to the gray eyed Goddess of War. Upon raiding her father's library of classics, she uncovered more stories about Athena, bringing more of her memories forward. She later discovered that she can recognize any of her heroes on sight and often feels like she has to look out for them – whether they ask for it or not. Her relationship with her sister is complicated. A lot of the time she thinks her parents want he to be more normal like Dessa while Dessa thinks her parents wish she was as bright as Scout. They frequently call each other names and Scout has refered to her sister as “Demon” since she was four but the gods help anyone who mistreats either one of them. Much of her childhood was also spent with her former siblings Pheobe “Artemis” Karras and Nick “Apollo” Karras as their fathers are best friends. Scout refers to them as “Huntress” and “Golden Boy” respectfully.top Partner in Crime In some ways, Scout was a bit of a loner in school as her genius set her apart until the sixth grade when she met Francis “Mac” MacConnell in science class and the two gifted children became fast friends with their shared bond of being Stories and a little misunderstood. The two frequently work on projects together and Scout's influence turned Mac from Boy Scout to geek-in-training. When Scout wishes for only him to understand what she's saying, she's been known to speak in Klingon. The two had one incident that lead to a science fair project beyond what was expected of anyone their age and while they technically broke no laws, they ended up with a Federal handler and Scout was accidentally put on the “Do Not Fly” list. Within their first week of LPA, Scout had managed to secure admin access to the computers, a pad of hall passes, school blueprints and a set of master keys, all of which she puts to use.top What's the Story Introduction Loki (left) and Rodney (right), Scout's pet ferrets. Scout was first introduced with her best friend Mac and her ferrets (Loki and Rodney). Scout and Mac were called in to help with a prank for the Masquerade Ball and while Scout argued with her sister about showing up to the ball and tricking their mother into thinking she was normal, Mac was distracted by the thought of Scout in a dress. At this time, Scout is unaware of Mac's crush on he and it's open to debate if Mac realizes it or not himself. top Meddling Goddess Shortly upon being introduced, Scout met Owen Dryden at the Masquerade Ball and recognized him as Odysseus, one of her former heroes. She immediately felt the need to meddle in his life, particularly his apparent crush on Rory Reed. Scout quickly agreed to team up with Nick Karras to help set up her new OTP. Scout quickly found a second project, mainly seeking revenge for her sister Dessa after Dessa's boyfriend Chris was caught in a lip lock with another girl. Scout swore “72 hours, your ass is mine bitch!” in the cafeteria. She spent the next 72 hours making him nervous and then when he thought things were over she launched a complex plan that caused Chris to think his new girl was cheating on him provoking a fight that ended their relationship. top Storylines (Based off of Heroes episodes) Nothing to Hide:The OTP.
